
Captains Back in Action Tomorrow Night

Lake County Captains News Release
The Captains will begin a brief three-game home stand on Wednesday, May 8, as the South Bend Silver Hawks (Diamondbacks) visit Classic Park.
The home stand begins Wednesday when the Captains will offer a special buy two, get two special on hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, French fries, onion rings, nachos and popcorn. This new food promotion will be offered during every Wednesday night game throughout the season. Game time is 6:30 pm.
Thursday night is Thirsty Thursday, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR, featuring 25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. A wing and pizza buffet will also be available outside the Corona Castaways Bar featuring Happy Moose Bar and Grill wing sauces and pizza from Cleveland Pizza Company. Game time is 6:30 PM.
Thursday is also Date Night, which provides couples with the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and enjoy a buffet dinner, a $56 value, for only $32.
Friday is a 6:30 start and the first Fireworks Friday Night of the season presented by Universal Windows Direct. Fans will enjoy the first of nine post-game Friday night fireworks extravaganzas. There will also be nine Saturday Fireworks nights beginning May 18.
The Captains Friday night concert kicks off as Festivus will entertain the crowd with a concert following the fireworks show. They will perform on stage adjacent to Castaways Bar which will remain open throughout the show. The Captains will feature iconic local bands following every Friday night home game for the remainder of the season.

The News-Herald Captains Charities Baseball Classic continues on Saturday, May 11 with an afternoon doubleheader at Classic Park. Tickets are $6 each and will be sold in advance by participating schools. Tickets will also be available through the Captains Ticket Office at 440-954-WINS (9467). Ticket proceeds from the event will be shared between the participating schools and Captains Charities, the charitable arm of the Captains. The schedule for Saturday is as follows:

Painesville Harvey vs. Gilmour - 4 PM
After a quick road trip, the Captains are back at Classic Park next week for a seven-game homestand May 14 through 20 featuring a number of exciting promotions.
Dawg Night Tuesday is May 14, and includes an appearance by Cleveland Browns Linebacker Craig Robertson. The Tuesday game also marks the first time fans are able to bring their dogs to the game.
Halloween Weekend is Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, and features Halloween-themed games and events including an in-game costume contest. The Friday game is home to Friday Night Fireworks presented by Universal Windows Direct and a post-game concert by Wild Horses. The Saturday game also features a post-game fireworks show presented Monreal Funeral Home.
The Sunday, May 19 game is a Family Fun Sunday presented by the Lake County YMCA. The game features special concourse entertainment and inflatable games for the kids!

The Captains Three-Day Baseball Camp will be held Wednesday, July 17 to Friday, July 19 at Classic Park. The camp for ages 7 through 14 will run from 9 AM to 12 PM each day. Each camper will receive an exclusive camp t-shirt, a pair of Captains batting gloves, instruction from Captains players and coaches, autograph session, lunch daily from 12 to 12:30 PM and one ticket to the July 19 Captains game against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The cost of the camp is only $135! Space is limited to the first 100 registrants.
