Capitals Pitch in Against Breast Cancer

Edmonton, AB - Join the Edmonton Capitals on July 31st as the team attempts to break the world record number of pitches thrown before a game in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Immediately following the 2pm game on July 31st, fans are invited down to the field to help throw pitches for a $5 donation to the CBCF.

The current world record sits at 11,689 with 5906 people pitching and will take more than 20 hours to break. The doors will be open all night long for participants, with the last pitch being thrown before the August 1st game that begins at 7pm.

Capitals staffer, John Sutherland will take on most of the pitches for the evening. Fans are needed to come cheer him on or participate for a great cause!

August 1st - Following the world record breaking attempt, the Power of Pink game will officially begin at 7pm sharp. Partial proceeds of Saturday night's game will go toward the CBCF, the team will be wearing special pink EC caps for the evening and playing with pink bats which will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds going toward the CBCF.
