
Capitals Opening Night Just Hours Away

Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Oilers Steve Staios, Steve MacIntrye, Kyle Brodziak and Zack Stortini will be at TELUS Field this Thursday, May 21st, 2009 for the Edmonton Capitals Opening Night. The newly named Edmonton Capitals will begin their season with a four game home stand versus the Victoria Seals. The Edmonton Oilers will be signing autographs before the game at TELUS Field.
"TELUS Field is a great facility, I'm looking forward to watching baseball games there this summer," said Edmonton Oilers Zack Stortini.
The Edmonton Capitals Opening Night will feature a marching band, face painters, special pre-game ceremonies, plenty of giveaways and a few other surprises along the way. Make sure you get to the game early to collect autographs from some of your favourite Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings captain Jeff Lee.
"TELUS Field will be a fun, safe and affordable venue for family entertainment this summer," said Edmonton Capitals Director, Business Operations Jordi Weidman. "We've got the whole package and know your entire game day experience will be terrific outing from start to finish. We're excited to bring Edmontonians a new era of professional baseball."
