Canucks Recall Robert McVicar

The Vancouver Canucks announced today they have recalled goaltender Rob McVicar from the Manitoba Moose.

McVicar, 22, appeared in 10 games for the Moose in his rookie season and collected four wins, three losses, and two ties. He finished the season with a goals-against average of 2.92 and a save percentage of .913. He played in 17 games with the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL this season, posting a 10-4-2 record and a 2.66 goals-against average to go along with a .905 save percentage.

The Brandon, MB native played four seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, appearing in 147 games and accumulating 81 wins, 49 losses, and nine ties. His career goalsagainst average with Brandon was 2.86 with a career save percentage of .895.

This will be McVicar's first recall the Canucks. He was Vancouver's fifth choice, 151st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
