Canucks Assign Shannon to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have assigned forward Ryan Shannon to the Moose.

Shannon, 24, has appeared in three games thus far this season with the Canucks and has collected a pair of goals. Last season, as part of the Anaheim Ducks, the Darien, CT native captured a Stanley Cup in 11 playoff games with Anaheim. In 53 regular season games in Anaheim, Shannon had two goals and nine assists for 11 points and 10 penalty minutes. In his three-year pro career, Shannon has appeared in 89 AHL games with Portland and Cincinnati and has scored 30 goals and 66 assists for 96 points and 58 penalty minutes. In 2005-06, Shannon was named to the AHL All-Rookie team after scoring 27 goals and 59 assists for 86 points and 44 penalty minutes with the Portland Pirates.
