Monsters announce Novacare Rehabilitation as team's official sports rehabilitation provider

Cleveland, OH - The Lake Erie Monsters and NovaCare Rehabilitation today announced that NovaCare Rehabilitation has been named the Monsters' Official Sports Rehabilitation Provider. Monsters/Cavaliers/Quicken Loans Arena President Len Komoroski and NovaCare Vice President Deborah W. Singer made the announcement. The Lake Erie Monsters are part of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena organization and also owned by a group led by Cavaliers majority owner and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman, Dan Gilbert.

"It is a very exciting time for us as we bring professional hockey back to Quicken Loans Arena and we wanted a rehab provider with strong orthopedic expertise and a reputation for clinical excellence. NovaCare's philosophy of patient care and customer service is a perfect fit with the Monsters," said Komoroski.

It has been almost two years since plans were first announced to bring professional hockey back to the region. Fast forward to today and the Monsters are proud to be the top affiliate with one of the best organizations in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche. They have developed an exciting, unique brand identity with the Lake Erie Monsters name that has been received very well by fans. Last month the Monsters moved into arguably the best practice facility in the entire AHL in Strongsville, Ohio at Hoover Arena operated by Ice Land U.S.A.

The team has also developed corporate partnerships with an impressive list of local and national companies and already generated ticket sales levels that rank in the top half of the AHL. The team is now focused on delivering a game night presentation that will completely redefine the excitement of seeing a pro hockey game live at Quicken Loans Arena.

NovaCare has 26 free standing clinic locations throughout Northeast Ohio, providing physical therapy, hand therapy, aquatic therapy, industrial and sports rehabilitation. NovaCare's parent company is Select Medical Corporation in Mechanicsburg, PA.

The Monsters took the ice for their inaugural game in front of a raucous opening night crowd of 15,132 on October 6th at Quicken Loans Arena.
