Cannons Announce 2007 Schedule

Boston, MA (January 9, 2007) - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse today announced their 2007 schedule. The Cannons open the season on the road at the Washington Bayhawks on May 12. Boston's home opener is May 19 against the defending MLL Champion Philadelphia Barrage at 7:00PM. The Cannons play six home games and six on the road. Boston opens training camp on April 21, 2007.
"Our players, coaches and staff are all looking forward to another great season in 2007," said Jason Chandler, Boston Cannons General Manager. "We are committed to providing our fans with a first class product both on and off the field."
The Cannons home schedule features three Saturday night contests, one Sunday evening game and two Thursday night games. The Cannons lone Sunday game is June 17 against the Bayhawks at 6:00PM. Boston's final two regular season games are both on Thursday evenings, July 19 and August 2 against Rochester and Long Island respectively. Both games start at 7:30PM.
Boston plays two Western Conference teams in 2007. For the first time in team history the Cannons travel to Chicago. Boston plays at the Machine on July 14. The Cannons host the Los Angeles Riptide on June 2.
The Cannons close the regular season in Rochester on August 11.
The first day of training camp for the Cannons is Saturday April 21. Training camp will run for three weekends leading up to Boston's May 12 opener. Camp sessions run Saturdays and Sundays and are open to the media and public.
