Canadiens Sign Forwards Daniel Carr, Connor Crisp

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have signed forward Daniel Carr to a two-year, entry-level contract and Connor Crisp to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Carr recently completed his senior season with the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Union College Dutchmen, leading the team in scoring en route to an NCAA Division I national championship. In 39 games with Union, the Sherwood Park, Alberta native recorded 50 points (22 goals, 28 assists) and 28 penalty minutes. In 160 career games with the Dutchmen from 2010 to 2014, the 6'0", 195-pound forward recorded 157 points (78 goals, 79 assists) and 112 penalty minutes.

Crisp recently completed his fourth Ontario Hockey League season with the Sudbury Wolves and then joined the Bulldogs until the end of their season. In 67 regular season games with Sudbury, the Alliston, Ontario native recorded 55 points (28 goals, 27 assists) and 120 penalty minutes. In seven regular season games with Hamilton, the 20-year-old recorded two goals and two penalty minutes. In 184 career OHL regular season games with the Wolves and Erie Otters from 2010 to 2014, the 6'3", 226-pound forward recorded 97 points (55 goals, 42 assists) and 308 penalty minutes. He was selected by the Canadiens in the third round (71st overall) in the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
