Amerks Open 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs this Weekend against Chicago

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans open the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs on Friday, April 25 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Midwest Division champion Chicago Wolves. The two teams will face off again in Game 2 on Saturday, April 26. Both games start at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.

Prior to both games, there will be an Amerks Happy Hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Atrium Bar, where fans ages 21 and over can enjoy Molson and Coors Light drafts for just $2. Live music will be provided by Acoustic Brew during Friday's Happy Hour while Tim Britt will perform on Saturday.

Buffalo Sabres Anthem Singer Doug Allen will perform the National Anthem prior to both Game 1 and Game 2.

The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County, located in the historic Rundel Memorial Building in downtown Rochester, will light up in red, white and blue in support of the Amerks during the home playoff games this weekend. The Central Library, which is located just across the Genesee River from The Blue Cross Arena, is installed with exterior LED lights that illuminate the building and its columns at night.

Zweigle's Family Packs are back for this weekend's playoff games. For just $72, families can receive four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas (a savings of $46 off the regular prices). Fans that purchase a Zweigle's Family Four Pack can also purchase additional tickets beyond the Family Four Pack for $18 apiece that will also include a hot dog and soda. A limited number of Party Deck tickets for Friday night's game are also available for just $10. These ice-level, standing-room only tickets offer a unique view of the action and are available only while supplies last.

All radio broadcasts in the playoff series versus Chicago will be carried on WHAM 1180, a 50,000-watt radio station that is Rochester's News Weather & Traffic Station. Each game will feature a 30-minute pregame show and be followed by a postgame show.
