
Canadians Open Series In Everett With 6-5 Victory

(Everett, WA) - 2B Tim Locastro and DH Sean Hurley slammed home runs while RHP Starlyn Suriel picked up his third win of the Northwest League season as Vancouver topped Everett 6-5 to open up a three-game series in Washington State.
Vancouver opened up the scoring with four runs off of Everett starter LHP Luis Gohara was chased from the top of the 4th inning with his last pitch sailing over the left field fence as DH Sean Hurley hit his first home run of the summer to help the Canadians to a 4-0 lead.
After Everett cut the lead to 4-3, Canadians 2B Tim Locastro hit his first home run of the summer with RF Boomer Collins on-base (hit by pitch) off of Aquasox reliever RHP Vinny Nitolli to extend the Vancouver margin to 6-3 which despite an offensive outburst from Everett in the bottom of the 6th inning was enough to help the C's to a 6-5 final, improving to 15-10 (.600) on the season and keep pace with the North Division leading Indians who throttled Tri-City 16-4 out at Avista Stadium in Spokane.
