The Quebec Capitales easily took game one of a doubleheader with New Jersey behind a strong performance from starting pitcher Eric Gagne, along with plenty of help from the offense. Gagne allowed just two hits, while striking out four, in the complete game shutout, running his record to 3-2. At the plate, 1B Eddie Lantigua led the way for the Capitales. Lantigua was 4-for-5 with a run scored and a RBI. Quebec C Pierre-Luc LaForest also had a good game. He was 1-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI.

New Jersey 3, Quebec 0 (Game 2 - 7 innings)

In the second game of the doubleheader, it was New Jersey's starting pitcher that shut down the opposition. AJ Wideman held the Capitales scoreless for six innings, allowing five hits and striking out three, to earn the win and run his mark to 7-0 on the season. Jackals closer Rusty Tucker finished off Quebec with a scoreless seventh inning to earn his 14th save. Doing the bulk of the damage at the plate for New Jersey was SS Mike DeJesus. He was 2-for-3 with a RBI to lead the offensive effort.

Worcester 12, Sussex 6

The Worcester Tornadoes pounded out 20 hits on their way to doubling up Sussex to the tune of a 12-6 win on the road. Tornadoes 1B Nick Salotti led the way offensively, going 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and a RBI. Each starter in the Worcester lineup collected more than one hit with the exception of RF Carlos Sosa. But Sosa was still very effective. He was 1-for-2 with a home run, his eighth, and four runs scored.

New Hampshire 13, Brockton 6

HR: NH-Jerod Edmondson (11), Angel Molina (8); BR-Keith Brachold (8)
New Hampshire RF Angel Molina was 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI to lead the American Defenders to victory over Brockton. New Hampshire collected 17 hits as a team, including a 3-for-5 game from DH Jabe Bergeron. Bergeron scored twice and drove in three. Also having a big game at the plate for the American Defenders was 1B Jerod Edmondson. He hit his 11th homer and finished the game 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and four runs scored. Brockton LF Keith Brachold 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the losing effort.
