Pittsfield 5, Brockton 2

Starting Colonials pitcher Miguel Flores struck out 14 Brockton batters and threw a complete game, giving up two runs on seven hits in Pittsfield's 5-2 win over the Rox. Flores' 14 K's tied a league record. After falling behind, 1-0, in the top of the third, the Colonials scored five consecutive runs in the middle and late innings to take the win. Two of Pittsfield's scores came on a Chris Torres homer in the sixth, the only frame in which either team scored more than one run. It was Torres' only hit of the night.

Quebec 8, Newark 4

The Capitales put three runs on the board in both the second and third inning, jumping out to a big lead and coasting to an 8-4 win over the Bears. Quebec 2B Seth Henry went 2-for-5 with two second-inning RBI that put the Capitales up, 3-0. Quebec C Matt Blazynski had a game-high three RBI to bolster an already-impressive 3-for-4 night. For the Bears, 2B/3B Paddy Matera went 2-for-5 with two RBI, including a two-run single in the seventh that brought his club to within three runs.

At the plate, New Jersey C Chris Anderson opened the sixth inning with a solo homer, putting the Jackals up, 3-0, and highlighting his 2-for-4 night. The Jackals got on the board int he fifth on a two-run D'Angelo Jimenez single. It was Jimenez' sole hit of the game.

Rockland 9, New York 7

The Federals scored four seventh-inning runs on the back of a three-run Dan Coury homer to pull within one run. But that was as close as New York ever got, falling to the Boulders, 9-7. Rockland 3B Ryan Mollica scored three times and batted in two runs to highlight his 4-for-5 night. Mollica has now batted in 41 runs on the year. For the Federals, Coury went 2-for-4, scored twice and batted in three.
