New Jersey 7, New York 5

New Jersey 1B Kris Sanchez homered twice as the Jackals defeated the New York Federals 7-5. Sanchez hit a solo home run in the third inning and blasted a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth. Sanchez led New Jersey with three RBIs in the game. Jackals C Chris Anderson hit a two-run homer in the contest, and 2B Leonard Davis hit a solo home run. New Jersey SS Argenis Reyes went 2-for-5 at the plate with an RBI. Jackals starting pitcher Shaun Ellis allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings pitched to earn the win, and reliever Jeff Gogal earned the save. For New York, DH Jim Schult went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and two RBIs in the loss.

Quebec 5, Rockland 2

Quebec grabbed three runs in the first inning en route to a 5-2 win against Rockland. Capitales RF Sebastien Boucher blasted a three-run home run in the bottom of the first to give Quebec an early lead. Quebec added an insurance run in the second and fourth inning to go up 5-0. The Boulders rallied for two runs in the sixth inning but Quebec weathered the storm and shut out Rockland for the remaining three innings. Quebec CF Goefrey Tomlinson went 1-for-4 at the plate with an RBI, and SS Jeff Helps chipped in with an RBI as well. Capitales starter John Mariotti conceded two runs on five hits in 7.2 innings pitched to earn the win. Mariotti fanned seven hitters in the game. Reliever Anthony Sullivan worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save. For Rockland, 2B Cole Kraft went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a losing effort.

Worcester 4, Pittsfield 1

Worcester DH Nick Salotti hit his eighteenth home run of the season to help lead the Tornadoes past the Pittsfield Colonials by a score of 4-1. Salotti continues to lead the Can-Am League in home runs and RBIs. Salotti had two RBIs in the game which puts his season RBI total at 59. Worcester 1B Chris Colabello also batted in a run in the game. Tornadoes starting pitcher Ryan Lobban was credited with the win and allowed just one run on six hits in six innings pitched. Tornadoes SS Chase Fontaine and LF Brendan Kelliher each had two hits in the game, and reliever Rick Asadoorian worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save. Colonials 1B Angel Molina hit a solo home run in the loss.

Newark 8, Brockton 6

Newark scored four runs in the third inning and added two more in the fifth inning en route to an 8-6 win against Brockton. Bears 2B Juan Martinez went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run and three runs scored, and C Eric McGee went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Newark 1B Daryle Ward had three hits in five at-bats a home run and two RBIs, and LF Burt Reynolds hit an RBI double in the game. Bears relief pitcher Kyle Morrison pitched three scoreless innings in relief and was credited with the win, and Mikey Mehlich worked a scoreless 1.2 innings to earn the save. For Brockton, SS Dominic Ramos went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the loss.
