Quebec 2, North Shore 1 Bottom 4 - suspended

The game was suspended due to rain. It will be completed Friday, June 2nd beginning at 7 p.m. as part of a double header in Quebec City. The game that was originally scheduled for tomorrow will begin upon the completion of tonight's game and has been shortened to seven innings.

@ Augusta, NJ.

The game was postponed due to rain. It will be made up Friday, June 2nd at 5 p.m. as part of a double header in Augusta.

Nashua 10, North Shore 8

The Nashua offense pounded out 15 hits in the game and scored seven of their 10 runs in the seventh inning to open up a 9-5 lead. But SS Chris Rowan and RF Andrew Wishy hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom half of the inning for North Shore and 3B Jeff Brooks, who reached on a passed-ball when he struck out, scored from second on an error to pull the Spirit back to within one. Nashua would tack on an insurance run in the ninth however to outlast North Shore by a two-run margin.

Worcester starting pitcher Junior Guerrero lasted 6.1 innings and only allowed one run on a lone hit, a solo home run to Bill Peavey in the seventh inning that broke up what was a no-hitter. The Tornadoes had a 1-0 lead heading into the sixth when they broke the game open with six runs in the frame. RF Keith Beauregard led Worcester at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. The win for the Tornadoes keeps them atop the standings and New Jersey drops into a tie for fourth with the loss.
