Quebec 6, Brockton 3 (Game 1 - 7 innings)

In the first game of a doubleheader, Quebec ran their winning streak to six straight by doubling up Brockton 6-3. Starter Brendon Malkowski improved to 2-0 with the Capitales as he tossed five innings, striking out five and allowing three earned runs. Quebec LF Robert Wagner and 3B Michael Thompson each went 2-for-4 with a homerun and two RBI. Brockton RF Melvin Falu continued his hot hitting as he finished 3-for-3 in the contest.

Quebec 3, Brockton 2 (Game 2 - 7 innings)

In Game two the Capitals rallied from a 2-0 deficit with a run in the sixth and two in the seventh to sweep the doubleheader by the count of 3-2. Capitals starter Karl Gelinas allowed just one earned run in six innings to improve his record to 4-2 with the victory. Andrew Albers pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 16th save. C Pete LaForest led the Quebec offense with a 2-for-3 night at the plate.

Worcester 6, Pittsfield 3

Tornadoes C Alex Trezza snapped a 3-3 tie with a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning and Worcester went on to defeat Pittsfield by a 6-3 final. Worcester starter Justin Knoff was outstanding as he struckout nine batters in eight innings of work. He improved his record to 3-2 with the win. Tornadoes CF Danny Santiesteban homered and scored twice, while SS Mark Minicozzi and RF Billy Cather each finished 2-for-4. Pittsfield SS Matt Nandin and 3B Jason Taylor each homered for the Colonials.

New Jersey 5, Sussex 4

New Jersey scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth inning to walk off with a 5-4 win over Sussex. Jackals CF Adam Godwin turned in a big performance from the leadoff spot as he finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored. DH Carlos Sosa tripled and drove in two as part of a 2-for-4 night at the plate. New Jersey reliever Edward Rodriguez pitched a 1-2-3 top of the ninth and got the win. His record now stand at 6-3. C Ryan Boelsen had three hits for the Skyhawks, and CF Carl Loadenthal went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
