Quebec 2, Sussex 1

In a game filled with quality pitching and missed opportunities, Quebec scratched out a run in the top of the ninth inning to edge Sussex by the score of 2-1. Capitales starter Dan Sausville allowed just one run on six hits over six innings before handing the game off to a trio of relievers who held the Skyhawks hitless over the final three innings. Andy Schon picked up the win to improve his record to 3-1, while Andrew Albers notched his 13th save. The Skyhawks had plenty of chances but couldn't capitalize as they drew seven walks and left thirteen men on base. Sussex starter Mike Vicaro was stellar as he allowed just four hits in eight innings while striking out five.

Brockton 6, Pittsfield 5

Brockton scored four times in the first inning and added two runs late to edge Pittsfield by the count of 6-5. Rox catcher Chris Grossman had a good game at the plate with a RBI groundout in the first inning and a two-run double in the eighth that broke a 4-4 tie. Brockton RF Keith Brachold went 1-for-3 with a walk, RBI, and two runs scored. LF Rafael Cabreja and 2B Danny Bomback each had three hits and two runs scored for the Colonials. Brockton's Colin Lynch pitched 1.1 innings of relief to earn his fifth victory of the season while Hunter Davis got the final three outs for his 11th save.

Worcester 2, New Jersey 0

Tornadoes starter Matt McDonald struck out seven batters and allowed just five hits in six innings to lead Worcester to a 2-0 win over New Jersey. With the victory he improved his record to 2-4. Shawn Gilblair and Rick Asadoorian struck out three of the nine New Jersey hitters they faced to complete the shutout, with Asadoorian picking up his 6th save. Worcester LF Ryan Crespi and SS Boomer Blanchard led the way from the top of the Worcester batting order. They finished a combined 4-for-9 with a walk and a run scored. Tornadoes RF Stantrel Smith also had a nice outing, finishing 2-for-4 with a run scored.
