Brockton 6, Pittsfield 4

Making the most of their early opportunities, Brockton scored four times in the second inning en route to a 6-4 victory over Pittsfield. The Rox used three hits, two walks, and a sacrifice fly to break out in front before holding off a late charge from the Colonials. Brockton starter Mike Wlodarczyk turned in a solid performance for 7.2 innings allowing six hits and four earned runs while striking out three. He improved to 8-3 with the win. Rox 3B Phillip Cuadrado went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs for Brockton. Pittsfield LF Angel Molina homered in the loss.

Quebec 8, Sussex 2

Quebec LF Robert Wagner homered and drove in three runs as part of a 3-for-4 night to power the Capitales past the Skyhawks 8-2. Quebec 2B Josh Colafemina also had three hits in the contest and scored twice. 1B Jeremy Hunt homered and drove in three runs as part of a 2-for-5 effort at the plate. Capitales starter Matthew Rusch scattered six hits over seven innings and allowed just two earned runs to improve his record to an impressive 9-1. Skyhawks start Will Hassett surrendered nine hits and five walks in 5.2 innings. His record dropped to 0-1 with the loss.

Worcester 7 New Jersey 5

RF Stantrel Smith's RBI double to left field broke a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning to help carry the Worcester Tornadoes to a 7-5 win over the New Jersey Jackals. Worcester catcher Chris Colabello hit his 11th homer of the season, a two-run shot to center in the bottom of first inning. The homerun was part of a four-run rally that answered New Jersey's 2-0 lead in the top of the frame. New Jersey CF Adam Godwin paced the jackals attack with three RBI and two runs scored in a 2-for-4 night at the plate.
