Brockton 13, Sussex 2

An eight-run second broke the game open for Brockton, who upended Sussex 13-2. 2B Shawn Williams had three hits and 1B Melvin Falu and SS Dominic Ramos each drove in three runs for the Rox. RHP Mike Smith got the win, surrendering just two earned runs in six innings with nine strikeouts. RHP Buster Lussier finished up the blowup with three one-hit innings, picking up the save and striking out four. SS Chase Fontaine had three hits and doubled twice for Sussex in the loss.

Quebec 8, Worcester 6

The Capitales broke a 6-6 tie in the top of the ninth and held on to beat the Tornadoes 8-6. 3B Michael Thompson went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and scored two runs for Quebec. The Capitales jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, but Worcester responded with three in the third. LF Ryan Crespi, 1B Nick Salotti, and RF Billy Cather each had two-hit games for Worcester in the losing effort. RHP Matthew Rusch was dominant outside of the rough third inning for Quebec, striking out ten Tornadoes in 6.1 innings. RHP Sean Gregory picked up the victory in relief.

Pittsfield 10, New Jersey 7

3B Jason Taylor went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored, and three RBI for the Colonials, who continued their torrid second half in defeating New Jersey 10-7. Four of Taylor's teammates had three-hit games, and the team tallied 15 in all. LHP David Qualben recorded the victory despite surrendering six earned runs in 5.1 frames. After Pittsfield scored three in the top of the first, Jackals 3B Abraham Nunez responded with a three-run jack in the bottom half of the inning. RF Kevin Clark went 1-for-3 and scored three times for New Jersey.
