Sussex 5, Worcester 4 (Completion of suspended game from June 6)

Trialing 1-0 entering the seventh inning, Sussex plated all five of its runs in the frame and held on late to nab a narrow win over Worcester. Skyhawks 3B Mike Megale led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a RBI. Sussex reliever Kevin Gunter took over in the fourth inning and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits in five innings of work to earn his second win of the season. Closer Duaner Sanchez gave Sussex a scare by allowing two runs in the ninth, but held on for his ninth save.

Worcester 7, Sussex 6 (Regularly scheduled game - 7 innings)

Despite getting out-hit 13-6 in the regularly scheduled game, Worcester used a five-run third inning to hold off Sussex. Tornadoes CF Billy Cather led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of RBI. 1B Nick Salotti also drove in two runs for Worcester. He finished 1-for-3. Tornadoes starting pitcher Jon Hollis picked up his first win, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out five in five innings.

New Jersey 11, Brockton 5

New Jersey pounded out 14 hits as a team, overcoming a big night by Brockton 3B Phillip Cuadrado and rolling to an 11-5 win. Cuadrado was 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI, but every starter but one in the Jackals' lineup recorded a hit. 1B Jabe Bergeron and DH Shawn Riggans each homered for New Jersey, and 3B Abraham Nunez led the way going 3-for-5 with a double and a RBI. Jackals starting pitcher Isaac Pavlik surrendered four runs on five hits in five innings, but hung on to earn the win, his second of the year.

Quebec 12, Pittsfield 7

Trailing 6-5 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, Quebec stormed ahead with seven runs in the inning and hung on to beat Pittsfield. Capitales DH Jeremy Hunt led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. 2B Josh Colafemina also had a good game at the plate for Quebec. He was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI. Capitales reliever Sean Gregory allowed a run in two innings of work to earn the win and improve to 3-2 on the year.
