In a game that featured quality pitching for both teams, Sussex used a homerun by 1B John Urick and a RBI single from 2B Chris Brown to top Brockton 2-1. Kyle Ruwe picked up the win for the Skyhawks as he went 7 2/3 innings and allowed just one run on five hits and a walk. He struck out two and with the victory improved his record to 5-3 on the season. Sussex closer Sandy Nin struck out two in the final inning and collected save number five on the year. Wayne Lundgren went all nine innings and struck out eight for Brockton but was the hard luck loser. He allowed two runs on just four hits. His record now stands at 5-5.

New Jersey 8, New Hampshire 4

New Jersey overcame an early 3-0 deficit and snapped a 4-4 tie with four runs in the top of the eighth inning to down the American Defenders of New Hampshire by an 8-4 final. The Jackals used three hits, two walks, a hit batter, and a New Hampshire error to bat around in the frame and make a winner out of reliever Kevin Gunter who tossed 2 1/3 innings in relief of starter Giuseppe Granitto. Gunter struck out one, walked one, and did not allow a hit to improve his record to 4-0. Defenders reliever Luis Ramos was charged with all four runs in the eighth and took the loss to even his record at 4-4. New Jersey LF Ryan Rogowski was a standout at the plate as he finished 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI.

Worcester 5, Quebec 1

A two-RBI double off the bat of RF Carlos Sosa highlighted a four-run top of the fourth inning that carried Worcester to a 5-1 win over Quebec. Sosa finished 2-for-4 with three runs batted in and SS Mike MacMillan went 4-for-6 with a RBI and a run scored to lead the Tornadoes offense. Worcester starter Ryan Lobban improved to 6-3 by working six innings and allowing just one run on six hits. Capitales starter Michel Simard lasted just 4 2/3 innings and surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits to fall to 4-6. Quebec LF Tony Lewis finished a perfect 3-for-3 with a RBI in a losing effort.
