The Ottawa Rapidz scored three times in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. And after falling behind 4-3, the Rapidz scored three more runs in the eighth inning and won 6-4. Ottawa DH Jabe Bergeron was 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead the offense. Rapidz reliever Reid Price picked up the win after allowing just one hit in 1 2/3 scoreless innings. With the victory, Price improves his mark to 3-0 on the season. Ottawa reliever Cardoza Tucker finished off the Capitales in the eighth and ninth innings to record his fourth save.

Sussex LF Alex Frazier had a big night at the plate in leading the Skyhawks to victory. Frazier finished the game 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a pair of runs scored to lead the offensive effort. C Cliff Panezich also had a good game for Sussex. He was 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored. Skyhawks reliever Michael Laluna picked up his second win and closer Matt Petrusek worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings to record his 19th save.

The Brockton Rox got a solid outing from starting pitcher John Kelly to lead the team to a win at home. Kelly allowed one run on six hits while striking out four in six innings of work to improve his record to 7-5 on the season. Brockton 3B Eduardo Rios had a big game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Worcester LF Francisco Caraballo was 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the losing effort.

New Jersey 6, Atlantic City 4

The New Jersey Jackals plated two runs in the eighth inning that proved to be the difference as it gave New Jersey a 6-4 lead, the same margin they would eventually win by. New Jersey 1B Juan Tejada led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI. Jackals reliever Mike Vicaro picked up his sixth win of the season after tossing a scoreless eighth inning in relief of starter Isaac Pavlik. Jackals closer Rusty Tucker took over in the ninth and shut the door on Atlantic City to earn his 19th save.
