Nashua 3, Sussex 2 (10 Innings)

With the game tied 2-2 in the top of the 10th inning, Nashua CF Vinny Pennell singled up the middle to score C Luis Rodriguez from second base and give the Pride a 3-2 win over Sussex. Nashua had trailed 2-0 until the eighth inning when they tied the game on Rodriguez's two-run homer. Adam Piechowski pitched two scoreless innings and got the win while Andrew Weimer retired the Skyhawks in the bottom of the tenth to collect his 11th save. RF Jorge Moreno and LF Alex Frazier each had two hits in a losing effort for Sussex.

Brockton 10, Worcester 5

Brockton scored in each of the first four innings to take an 8-0 lead and cruised to a 10-5 victory over Worcester. A handful of players put up big numbers for the Rox including DH Jason Colson, who hit a three run home run, and C Josh Vander Hey who homered to make it 3-0 in the second inning and finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored. 2B Melvin Falu was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs while RF Jud Thigpen finished 3-for-5 with three RBI. Wayne Lundgren allowed just one earned run in seven innings pitched and improved to 3-2 on the year. Shaun McNamara lasted just three innings and fell to 2-4.

Quebec 9, Ottawa 0

Holding a slim 1-0 lead in the fifth inning, Quebec chased Ottawa starter Fraser Robinson from the contest by scoring four times and went on to blank the Rapidz 9-0. In his first appearance for Quebec since being acquired from Ottawa, Orlando Trias went a strong 7 2/3 innings and surrendered just two hits to earn the victory. The Capitales got balanced production throughout their lineup as five players had multi-hit games including 1B Pat Scalabrini who went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.

Atlantic City 6, New Jersey 5

Atlantic City rallied from a 4-3 deficit with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and held on to beat New Jersey 6-5. RF Josh Burrus delivered the big blow when his bases-loaded single down the right field line plated two runs to give the Surf a 5-4 lead. 2B Brad Thoma followed with a single that added an insurance run and reliever Walker Whitley came on to work the top of the ninth. The Jackals scratched out a run on three hits but could not get the equalizer and Whitley earned his third save of the year. Five Atlantic City players had two or more hits in the game.
