With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth SS Chuck Jeroloman singled down the left field line to score LF Scott Grimes and give Worcester a 6-5 walkoff win over Sussex. Sussex intentionally walked DH Francisco Caraballo, who came into the game batting .370, to load the bases for Jeroloman who was hitless until that point in the game. Sussex took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on Alex Frazier's two run homer to left. Worcester pulled even with a run in the first inning and another in the third before taking a 3-2 advantage on CF BJ Weed's fourth inning RBI single to left. Sussex tied the game at 3-3 before Worcester used a Caraballo triple and a sacrifice fly by Jeroloman to produce two runs in the fifth inning. Sussex CF Ron Perodin's triple in the top of the seventh inning helped the Skyhawks answer back and tie it 5-5 before Jeroloman won it in the ninth.

Nashua scored a run in the first inning, another in the eighth, and got a stellar effort from their pitching staff to shutout Brockton 2-0. Lance Stevens scattered eight hits in seven innings of work to earn his first win of the year. Jarrett Stawarz and Andrew Weimer each pitched a scoreless inning of relief with Weimer notching his first save. 3B Dennis Abreu was 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Pride. He doubled with two out in the first inning before CF Jeremy Pickrel singled him home for a 1-0 lead. Brockton had several opportunities to score but couldn't come up with the big hit when they needed it as they left nine men on base in the contest.

Quebec 1, Atlantic City 0

Quebec pitching struck out nine batters in a 1-0 win at Atlantic City. The teams combined for just six hits in the contest and the lone run in the game came with one swing of the bat as 3B Patrick Deschenes belted his first homer of the year in the top of the second inning. Michel Simard was masterful in striking out seven men in seven innings. Jason Schutt closed the game out for his second save. Adam Cox pitched well enough to win, going seven strong innings and surrendering just four hits for the Surf. The hard luck loser, his record fell to 1-1. Quebec LF Alex Nunez was the only player in the game with two hits.

New Jersey 7, Ottawa 4

The New Jersey Jackals put together a six run second inning to top the Ottawa Rapidz 7-4. Already leading 1-0 with runners at second and third, New Jersey catcher Craig Maddox singled in two more for a 3-0 advantage. 2B Marcus Sanders singled to put two men aboard once again before DH Ramon Nivar smacked a line drive three run homer to left giving the Jackals a 6-0 cushion. Staked to the early lead Juan Done allowed three runs in five innings to earn his second win and improve to 2-0. Orlando Trias took the loss for Ottawa who has lost six straight. SS Casey Gordon had a solid game finishing 2-for-4 with two RBI.
