Brockton rolled out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning and cruised from there to an 11-run rout of the North Shore Spirit. Rox DH John Allen had a great day offensively going 4-for-5 with three runs scored, two RBI and two doubles. Leadoff hitter Joe Hough and SS Fredy De La Cruz each chipped in with three hits for Brockton as well. Rox starter John Kelly had another superb outing going six innings allowing only one earned run on seven hits with three punchouts. Kelly's record improves to 4-1 on the season. For the Spirit in the losing effort, 3B Mike Torres, RF Carlos Rodriguez and SS Jerson Perez each collected two hits.

The Sussex Skyhawks brought the offense to Yogi Berra Stadium this afternoon as the Skyhawks slammed the New Jersey Jackals by nine runs. Sussex plated 16 runs on the day, which included a seven-run sixth inning, and pounded out 22 hits. Seven Skyhawks batters had multi-hit games and was led by DH Larry Bethea who went 4-for-6 with two runs scored and three RBI. He also hammered his fourth home run of the year. Sussex starting pitcher Vince Davis went 5 2/3 innings allowing five earned runs on five hits to get the win and even his mark at 3-3. New Jersey 1B Sandy Madera went 3-for-5 with a run scored, five RBI and his 11th home run of the season.

Nashua 0, Quebec 0 (Top 3 / Suspended - Rain)

This game was suspended due to rain with both teams scoreless in the top of the third inning. Nashua had no outs and runners on first and third base when play was suspended. The game will be resumed Thursday, July 12 at 11:35 a.m. and will be nine innings. Thursday's originally scheduled game will be seven innings.

Atlantic City LF Joe Burke led his team to a 6-5 victory against Worcester with a single, double and three-run home run. Burke finished 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. His three-run bomb in the bottom of the second inning gave Atlantic City the lead, but Worcester would respond and eventually take a 4-3 lead in the fifth. Then Atlantic City 2B Ed Montague smacked a double in the bottom of the fifth to put Atlantic City ahead for good. Worcester posted 12 hits to Atlantic City's five, but eight Atlantic City walks gave them all the baserunners they needed. Matthew Pike pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 13th save of the year.
