With the score tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th inning, the Cutters did what they had been doing the whole game. They singled. New Haven County had 10 base hits in the game, none of which went for extra bases. But thanks to three 10th-inning base knocks, the Cutters picked up their 15th win of the season. Cutters DH Orlando Encarnacion, who batted in 3B Junior Zamora in the final frame, was one of four New Haven County batters to collect multiple base hits in the game. For the Spirit, 2B Gary Roche went 3-for-5 in the game with one of North Shore's two RBI.

New Haven County's game-two win came a bit more easily than game one. The Cutters did trail after four-and-a-half innings, but quickly took a two-run lead in the bottom of the fourth after taking advantage of two North Shore errors to score four runs. Cutters 1B Chris Gaskin led the way with a 2-for-3 game with a run and an RBI. Starting Cutters pitcher Ryan Bonesio picked up his third win of the season. Bonesio pitched 5.2 innings and allowed two runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts. For the Spirit, 3B Mike Torres went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Quebec 4, Grays 3 (Game 1 - 7 innings)

After falling behind 4-0 after four innings, the Grays came up just short. With two outs and the tying Grays run on first base in the bottom of the seventh inning, Capitales reliever Brian Dumesnil entered for T.J. Stanton and earned a one-at-bat save, striking out Grays 1B Jose Velasquez. Already leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning, the Capitales got their third and fourth runs on a home run by SS Takayoshi Uchida, his only hit of the night and third home run of the season. Starting Capitales pitcher Kevin Beavers earned his third win of the season with a 5.2-inning performance in which he allowed one run on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Grays 4, Quebec 2 (Game 2 - 7 innings)

In game two of the doubleheader, Grays lead-off hitter SS Willie James was his team's key to picking up its 17th win of the season. James either scored or batted in every one of the Grays' runs to highlight a 3-for-3 game. With the Capitales leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning, James hit a two-run double to give the Grays a 3-2 lead, and two batters later scored on a LF Chad Gabriel single. Grays starting pitcher Richard Bartlett evened his season record at 3-3 with a six-inning performance in which he allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts. After the split, the Capitales remain 3.5 games behind New Jersey for the league lead with a record of 25-14.

The Pride took a big lead early and never looked back. Already leading 1-0 in the top of the third inning, Nashua scored three runs on a C Luis Rodriguez home run to take a commanding four-run lead. The Pride added two more runs to their lead in the fourth inning thanks to a pair of doubles from CF Richard Giannotti and SS Olmo Rosario. The Tornadoes would score two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to again pull within four, but that was as close as they would get. Rosario and John Ramistella each went 3-for-5 on the night and both also scored and batted in one run a piece.
