Brockton exploded for five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie behind the hitting of 1B Francisco Lebron and win 7-2 against New Haven County. Lebron had an RBI single in the key inning and also blasted a solo home run the inning before. Brockton starting pitcher Donavon Hendricks pitched a nice outing, holding New Haven County to one earned run over seven innings. He was matched by New Haven County starting pitcher Jeff Farrell, who also went seven and gave up one earned run. Relief pitcher Luis Carreras pitched two solid innings for Brockton to pick up the win.

North Shore at Atlantic City (Postponed - Rain)

@ Atlantic City, NJ.

This game was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, June 19 at North Shore in Lynn, MA. Both games will consist of seven innings.

Grays 5, Sussex 1

The Grays scored five runs in the first three innings and held on to beat Sussex 5-1. They complete a three-game sweep of Sussex behind a strong performance from starting pitcher Dustin Nielsen. Nielsen pitched six innings and gave up only one hit and zero earned runs. He was supported by relief pitchers Tony O'Donnell and Matt Zachary, who held Sussex down to finish off the game. SS Gavin Monjaras drove in two of the Grays' runs and RF Sheldon Catchot went 2-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, two runs and an RBI.

Quebec 9, Worcester 6

HR: QUE - Corey Stang (1) WOR - Jeff LaHair (1)

Quebec DH Corey Stang blasted a three-run homer and drove in four runs to lead Quebec to a 9-6 win against Worcester. 1B Eddie Lantigua went 3-for-4 with an RBI to add to the Quebec scoring. After trailing 9-1 in the fourth inning, Worcester rallied for five runs, but couldn't quite make up the deficit as the Quebec relievers maintained the lead. Worcester 2B Jeff LaHair smacked a two-run home run in the fourth inning to lead the Tornadoes. With the win, Quebec moves to 8-2 on the year and keeps its hold on first place in the standings.

The game has been cancelled due to rain. Since the two teams don't play again in the first half of the season, the game will not be rescheduled.
