Brockton scored three runs in the sixth inning to erase a 1-0 Sussex lead and go on to win their 18th game of the second half. Starting pitcher Brad Guy had a solid outing, allowing one run on eight hits while striking out three in eight innings to improve to 7-4 on the year. Jon Koch closed the game out in the ninth inning to pick up his 14th save. Rox 1B Francisco Lebron had a productive night at the plate going 2-for-4, with two doubles, a run scored and two runs batted in. The victory pulls Brockton to within a game of second place Quebec and keeps them 1 1/2 games behind North Shore, who also won, for first place in the Can-Am League.

North Shore beat New Haven County by three to move 1/2 game ahead of idle Quebec for first place in the Can-Am League. The Spirit got a strong outing from starting pitcher Matt Bishop who did not allow an earned run on four hits while striking out five in seven innings to work to improve to 3-1 on the year. Closer Kevin Fitzgerald pitched the ninth inning, holding the Cutters at bay to pick up his 17th save of the season. 2B Ricardo Cordova led the Spirit at the plate, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Nashua 3, Worcester 2

Nashua would score two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit and beat Worcester. DH Larry Bethea was the leader at the plate for the Pride going 2-for-3 with a run scored. SS James Lofton also chipped in with two hits in four plate appearances for Nashua. Jason Paul got the win for the Pride pitching a scoreless 2/3 of an inning. His record is now evened up at 1-1. Derrick DePriest struck out the side in the top of the ninth inning to notch his 12th save of the season. For the Tornadoes, CF Elliot Shea had a 2-for-4 outing with a run scored and a run batted in. Shea also hit his first home run of the season.
