Starting pitcher Ryan Bicondoa allowed just three runs over eight innings of work to help North Shore past New Jersey 8-4. With the win Bicondoa remains unbeaten at 6-0 on the season. At the plate, SS Chris Rowan led the Spirit in hits with three, including a homerun and a double. 1B Vic Davilla and C Alex Trezza also homered in the game and combined for five RBI to help power the North Shore offense. New Jersey 3B Wilton Veras had a hit and two RBI to lead the losing Jackals at the plate.

Sussex 6, Worcester 1

Starting pitcher Brian Ford allowed only one run on six hits over six innings of work to help Sussex knock off Worcester 6-1. The win improves Ford's record to 3-2 on the season. At the plate, the Skyhawks were led by C Abraham Ayala, who went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored. CF James Cooper added two hits and two RBI of his own to the Sussex attack. Worcester SS Ricardo Cordova went 2-for-4 and scored the lone run for the Tornadoes in the losing cause.

3B Eddie Lantigua homered and drove in two runs to help Quebec past New Haven County 5-3. The homerun was Lantigua's fifth of the season. Starting pitcher Gabe Ribas allowed just three runs over 7 2/3 innings to pick up the win, his fourth of the year. Closer Christian Mendoza recorded the final four outs of the game for the Capitales to notch his 10th save of the season. New Haven County DH Derrick Gibson went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Cutters in the losing effort.

Brockton 5, Nashua 2 (Top 4 / Suspended)
@ Brockton, MA.
The game was suspended due to rain with Brockton leading Nashua 5-2 in the top of the 4th inning. It will resume Saturday, July 22, at 5:05 p.m. and will be followed by Saturday's regularly scheduled game, which will be shortened to seven innings.
