Nashua 7, Worcester 4 (Completion of suspended game from July 9 - 11 innings)

In the completion of the suspended game from July 9, the Nashua Pride scored three runs in the bottom of the 11th thanks to a walk-off homer off the bat of 3B Aregenis Tavarez. Tavarez finished the game 2-for-5. Pride 1B Bryan Duplissie also homered in the contest, his 10th of the season, and was 1-for-5 with a pair of RBI. Nashua reliever Adam Piechowski picked up the win. He worked two scoreless innings to improve to 4-0. Worcester LF Francisco Caraballo led the way at the plate for the Tornadoes in the losing effort. He finished the game 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.

Worcester 6, Nashua 2 (Regularly scheduled game - 7 innings)

The Tornadoes got a solid outing from starting pitcher Matt Weagle to salvage a split of the doubleheader at home. Weagle allowed two runs on six hits in a complete game victory and in the process ran his record to 8-2 on the season. Worcester CF BJ Weed led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI. Tornadoes 1B Chris Colabello also played well, going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles as well as a RBI.

Atlantic City 3, Ottawa 2

Trailing 2-0 entering the top half of the seventh inning, the Atlantic City Surf rallied for three runs and went on to win by that same margin. Surf starting pitcher Adam Cox kept his team in the game throughout, allowing two runs while scattering 10 hits and striking out five. He did not walk a batter en route to the win and improved his record to 5-2 on the year. Atlantic City 1B Joe Burke led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5, while RF Josh Burrus pitched in with a two-run homer that would prove to be the game winner. Surf reliever Walker Whitley shut the door by fanning two in a perfect ninth to record his fifth save of the season.

Quebec 10, Sussex 6

Despite having already clinched the first-half crown, the Quebec Capitales did not let up, taking care of Sussex on the road to run their record to 31-15. Quebec scored three times in the first inning and would never trail in the contest, thanks to a solid effort from the offense. Capitales DH Eddie Lantigua led the way, going 1-for-2 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI. Quebec 1B Pat Scalabrini also had a nice game, going 2-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI. Capitales starting pitcher Orlando Trias allowed four runs on five hits and struck out six in six innings of work to earn his second win with Quebec.

Brockton 10, New Jersey 1

The Brockton Rox broke this game wide open with six runs in the fifth inning and put things completely out of reach with four more in the sixth. There was little New Jersey hitters could do to figure out Rox starting pitcher Steve Delabar, managing just one run on five hits through eight innings. Delabar fanned six and walked three en route to his second win of the season. Brockton 1B Jason Colson led the way offensively. He was 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. 3B Chris Kelly provided the only real offense for the Jackals in the losing effort. He was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the sixth.
