New Jersey 7, Trois-Rivieres 0 - Box Score

New Jersey rolled out to an early 4-0 lead through two innings of play and would coast from there to a 7-0 victory over Trois-Rivieres.

Jackals starter Christian Tessitore and two relievers combined on a five-hit shutout. Tessitore went the first six innings allowing three hits and five walks while striking out three batters. The bullpen duo of Reece Karalus and Dylan Brammer finished off the final three innings giving up only two hits and a walk to go along with four strikeouts. Tessitore earned the win and is now 2-0 on the season.

Offensively for New Jersey, LF Alfredo Marte led the way going 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Jackals SS Santiago Chirino and 1B Conrad Gregor each had a two-hit game with a run scored while 2B Nelson Ward collected a walk and plated a pair of runs in a 1-for-4 night. In total, New Jersey had 11 hits on the night.

Sussex County 13, Rockland 3 - Box Score

The 2019 regular season champions continued to roll along as Sussex County cruised past Rockland by the score of 13-3. With the score 5-3 Miners through 3 ½ innings of play, Sussex County would tally eight runs over their next three trips to the dish to open up the lead and win going away.

The Miners had 11 hits as a team tonight with 3B Mikey Reynolds leading the way going 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and four RBIs. Sussex County RF Jordan Scott launched a home run and drove in two in a 1-for-3 night while CF Breland Almadova added a pair of runs and two walks.

Miners starting pitcher David Palladino tossed a complete game and notched his seventh win of the year. Palladino gave up three earned runs on nine hits and struck out 10 batters in a 108-pitch performance.

For the Boulders in the losing effort, SS Angelo Mora had a 2-for-4 night with a run scored.

Quebec 9, Ottawa 4 - Box Score

Quebec scored five runs in the third inning to take a 6-1 lead and would go from there to defeat Ottawa by the score of 9-4.

The Capitales pounded out 13 hits in the contest with eight batters in the lineup picking-up at least one. Quebec RF Jhalan Jackson led the way going 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and five RBIs. Capitales 1B Zach Wilson had three hits, including a blast, along with a pair of runs and an RBI while SS Yordan Manduley had two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Quebec starting pitcher Karl Gelinas threw 6 2/3 innings of work and picked-up his second win of the year. Gelinas allowed four earned runs on 10 hits and fanned three batters.

For the Champions, LF Malik Collymore stole two more bases to give him 51 on the year. That mark tied a league record for most stolen bases in a single season.
