New Jersey 4, Sussex County 0 (Game 1/7 Innings) - Box Score

In game one of a doubleheader, New Jersey starting pitcher Brendan Butler turned in a terrific performance as the Jackals defeated Sussex County, 4-0.

Butler tossed a four-hit complete game shutout in which he gave up two walks and struck out eight. The righty has now made four consecutive quality starts, three of which resulted in victories. Butler is now 5-2 on the season.

Offensively for New Jersey, CF David Harris led the way going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored. Jackals RF Jay Gonzalez doubled, drove in a run and walked three times while 2B Nelson Ward chipped in a solo home run.

For Sussex County in the loss, SS Cito Culver had a 2-for-2 outing.

New Jersey 10, Sussex County 1 (Game 2/7 Innings) - Box Score

New Jersey completed the doubleheader sweep of Sussex County as they rolled past the Miners, 10-1. The Jackals jumped out to an 8-1 lead after two innings of play and would never look back en route to the win.

There were 10 hits collected by New Jersey with CF David Harris again leading the way going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. In the last three games, the Southern Arkansas University product has picked-up 11 hits to go along with three runs scored and eight RBIs. Along with Harris, LF Alfredo Marte went 1-for-3 with a pair of runs and four RBIs while 3B Conrad Gregor walked twice and scored three times.

Jackals starting pitcher Lars Liguori threw a complete game and notched his first victory with the team. Liguori gave up one earned run on six hits and struck out three batters.

Center fielder Kalian Sams had a perfect 3-for-3 game with an RBI in the loss for Sussex County.

Rockland 10, Quebec 4 - Box Score

Rockland jumped out to a 5-1 lead after four innings of play and would go on from there to beat Quebec by a final of 10-4.

The Boulders pounded out 16 hits in the contest with every batter in the lineup collecting at least one. Rockland 2B Ryne Birk led the way going 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and an RBI. Boulders C Adam Ehrlich had two hits in five at-bats along with a run and two RBIs while SS Katsuya Senoo picked-up a pair of doubles and two runs.

Rockland starter Jake Zokan allowed three earned runs over six innings pitched and notched the win. The southpaw gave up nine hits and struck out seven in a 99-pitch performance. With the victory, Zokan is now 3-3 on the year.

For the Capitales, 2B TJ White had a 2-for-3 night with two doubles and two RBIs.

Ottawa 1, Trois-Rivieres 0 - Box Score

Ottawa starter Danny Garcia and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Champions downed Trois-Rivieres, 1-0.

Garcia went the first seven innings of the contest and allowed a walk and three hits while fanning six batters. The bullpen duo of Evan Rutckyj and Austin Glorius tossed the final two frames and combined gave up only one hit and two walks. Garcia earned his fifth victory of the season and Glorius grabbed his fifth save.

Offensively for the Champions, 3B Malik Collymore had a 2-for-4 night while LF Eduard Pinto and 2B Maikol Gonzalez each picked-up a hit. The only run of the game came in the seventh inning when PH/DH Andy Mocahbee scored on an error by Aigles SS Thomas Roulis.

Third baseman Taylor Brennan had two hits in the loss for Trois-Rivieres.
