Quebec 2, Rockland 1 (10 Innings) - Box Score
Third baseman Jesse Hodges doubled home SS Brandon Fischer with the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Quebec defeated Rockland in walk-off fashion, 2-1.
Fischer leadoff the 10th inning as the runner at second base. The next batter, 1B TJ White, sacrificed Fischer over to third with one out. Hodges followed White and hit the big double to bring Fischer home from third and give the Capitales the victory.
Hodges went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs while Fischer scored a pair of runs in a 2-for-5 night.
Quebec pitcher Jonathan De Marte tossed two scoreless innings of relief and notched the win. The 26-year-old walked one and struck out three in the eight batters he faced. With the victory, De Marte improved his record to 2-2 on the season.
For Rockland in the loss, 3B Richie Fecteau had a 2-for-5 night with an RBI.
Trois-Rivieres 4, Sussex County 3 (10 Innings) - Box Score
Right fielder Alberth Martinez singled home 2B Tucker Nathans with the game winning run in the top of the 10th inning as Trois-Rivieres beat Sussex County by a final of 4-3. The Aigles have now won five in a row and have closed to within 1 ½ games of the Miners in the Can-Am League standings.
Nathans began the 10th inning as the runner at second base. The Warwick, NY resident proceeded to steal third base and then come home on the Martinez single.
First baseman Juan Kelly had a three-hit night with an RBI while Nathans tallied a pair of runs in a 1-for-4 night.
Trois-Rivieres pitcher Elhaaj Muhammad threw an inning of relief and grabbed his second win of the season. Muhammad gave up two earned runs on a hit along with a walk.
For Sussex County in the losing effort, LF Jose Brizuela and 3B Nate Coronado each had a pair of hits and 1B Audy Ciriaco launched a game tying two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth.
New Jersey 4, Ottawa 1 - Box Score
New Jersey won their fifth straight contest as they beat Ottawa by the score of 4-1. The Jackals tallied single runs in the first three innings to take a 3-0 lead and would never look back en route to the win.
Center fielder David Harris led the way offensively for New Jersey as he went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Jackals 3B Conrad Gregor launched a home run and scored twice in a 1-for-3 night while 2B Nelson Ward doubled and scored a run.
New Jersey starting pitcher Lendy Castillo tossed six strong innings to earn the victory. The righty allowed an unearned run on five hits and struck out seven batters. Castillo is now 4-3 on the year with the win.
Second baseman Maikol Gonzalez had a 1-for-4 game with a run scored in the loss for the Champions.
