Ottawa scored six runs in the fifth inning to break open a close game and defeat Rockland by the score of 11-6.

The Champions pounded out 16 hits in the contest with eight batters collecting at least one. Daniel Bick went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and an RBI while Sebastien Boucher collected three hits in five at-bats along with a run and two RBIs. Jordan Caillouet also chipped in a grand slam for Ottawa.

Champions starting pitcher Edilson Alvarez threw 6 1/3 innings and picked-up his third win of the season. Alvarez gave up six earned runs on six hits and struck out five batters.

For the Boulders in the loss, Mike Montville had a 2-for-5 game with a pair of home runs and four RBIs. Rockland had four total homers in the game.

Trois-Rivieres 5, Sussex County 4

Michael Suchy doubled home Kevin Cornelius with the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as Trois-Rivieres beat Sussex County, 5-4.

After the Aigles took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the Miners came back in the second and scored a pair of runs via a walk and an error. Sussex County took a brief 3-2 advantage in the top of the fourth before Trois-Rivieres scored two more in the same inning off a two-run single from Javier Herrera. The Miners would tie it back up at 4-4 in the fifth only to see Trois-Rivieres take the lead for good on the Suchy double in the sixth.

Suchy went 1-for-2 with two RBIs while Herrera scored a run and drove in two in a 1-2 night.

Aigles starter Yender Caramo allowed two earned runs over seven innings of work and notched the win. Caramo gave up seven hits and a walk in a 104-pitch performance. With the victory, the righty is now 5-3 on the year.

New Jersey 4, Quebec 3 (11 Innings)

Seth Spivey singled home Taylor Oldham with the game winning run in the 11th inning as New Jersey defeated Quebec in walk-off fashion, 4-3.

The Jackals scored three runs in the first inning while the Capitales scored three of their own in the fourth. The contest stayed deadlocked at 3-3 until the 11th when New Jersey won the game on the Spivey single.

Spivey went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs while Oldham collected a double and scored two runs in a 1-for-4 night.

Jackals pitcher Matt Vogel tossed a scoreless inning of relief and collected his first victory. Vogel struck out two of the four batters he faced.

For Quebec in the losing effort, Maxx Tissenbaum had a 2-for-5 game with a run scored and an RBI.
