Ottawa 8, Quebec 3

Ottawa won their third consecutive contest as they downed Quebec by the score of 8-3. With the score deadlocked at 1-1 through four innings of play, the Champions would score seven runs over the next three to put the game out of reach. Ottawa had nine hits as a team and was led by DH Sebastien Boucher who went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and four RBI. Champions leadoff hitter Coco Johnson plated three runs in a 2-for-3 night while 3B Jordan Caillouet had two hits in four at-bats and drove in a run.

Starting pitcher Austin Chrismon allowed three earned runs over seven innings pitched to notch the win for Ottawa. Chrismon gave up six hits and fanned three batters in a 101-pitch performance. The righty is now 3-2 on the season.

For Quebec in the losing effort, CF Kalian Sams went 2-for-4 with a solo home run.

Trois-Rivieres 13, Salina 2

Trois-Rivieres scored seven big runs in the first inning to take a 7-0 lead and cruised from there to a 13-2 victory over the Salina Stockade. The Aigles tallied 12 hits in the contest with nine batters collecting at least one. Trois-Rivieres LF Javier Herrera went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI while CF Alexi Colon collected three hits, scored a run and drove in one. In all, four hitters for the Aigles plated at least two runs in the game.

Starter Chris Murphy threw six shutout innings and picked up the victory for Trois-Rivieres. Murphy allowed six hits while striking out six in 74 pitches thrown. The resident of Newark, DE is now 3-1 on the year and has allowed only five walks in 30 1/3 innings pitched.

For Salina, leadoff hitter Brian Luebcke scored a run in a 2-for-4 night.

New Jersey 19, Dominican Republic 2

The New Jersey Jackals tallied 13 runs over the fourth and fifth innings to take full control of the game and roll to a 19-2 victory over the Dominican Republic national team. New Jersey pounded out 20 hits in the contest with six players having multi-hit games. Jackals DH Daniel Canela had a monster game going 4-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBI. New Jersey 1B Dean Green collected three doubles, scored three runs and drove in a pair while CF David Harris added four runs and three RBI in a perfect 3-for-3 outing. Right fielder Nolan Meadows and 3B Gerald Bautista also chipped in home runs for the Jackals.

New Jersey starting pitcher Yasmani Hernandez had more than enough run support to notch his second victory of the year. Hernandez went seven innings and gave up an earned run on three hits with 10 strikeouts.

Shortstop Sthervin Matos was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored for the Dominican Republic.
