Rockland 4, Sussex County 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

Rockland LF Conrad Gregor launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Boulders a 4-2 walk-off win over Sussex County in game one of a doubleheader.

The Miners jumped out in front 2-0 in the top of the second inning when RF Rubi Silva hit a sacrifice fly to score 2B Mikey Reynolds and C Luis Alen hit a solo blast. Rockland came back to tie the contest at 2-2 in the third when RF Conor Bierfeldt hit a two-run home run. The score would stay that way until the seventh when Gregor hit his walk-off home run to give the Boulders the win.

Gregor went 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBI while 2B Jared McDonald had a hit in two at-bats and plated a run. Rockland pitcher Nick Kennedy tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings to pick-up his second victory. Kennedy gave up a hit and struck out two in the five batters that he faced.

Sussex County 14, Rockland 10 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

Sussex County gained a split in the twinbill as they outlasted Rockland in game two by the score of 14-10. The Miners scored in every inning but the fourth and pounded out 14 hits in the contest. Sussex County 3B Mikey Reynolds went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored and an RBI while LF Breland Almadova had a pair of hits in four at-bats, plated three runs and drove in one. Right fielder Rubi Silva also chipped in a three-run home run for the Miners.

Starting pitcher Cory Jones tossed five innings and garnered his second victory of the season. Jones gave up eight earned runs on nine hits and struck out three batters.

For Rockland in the losing effort, 3B Cody Regis had a solid game going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI.

The Boulders made six errors in the contest.
