Rockland 10, Trois-Rivieres 2

It was all Rockland in this matinee as the Boulders rolled past Trois-Rivieres by the score of 10-2. Rockland pounded out 14 hits in the contest and scored in every inning except the fifth and eighth. Boulders SS JC Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI while 2B Jared McDonald added a pair of hits in four at-bats and plated two runs. Right fielder Conor Bierfeldt and 3B Cody Regis also chipped in home runs for Rockland.

Boulders starting pitcher Kagen Hopkins turned in a solid performance on the mound and notched his first win of the season. Hopkins allowed an earned run on four hits and struck out three batters.

For the Aigles in the loss, 3B and Player of the Week Taylor Brennan hit his league leading 10th home run of the year.

Sussex County 6, New Jersey 4

Sussex County tallied three runs in the top of the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie and defeat New Jersey by a 6-4 score. The victory by the Miners was their fourth straight and are now alone atop the Can-Am League standings. Sussex County received solid production from up and down their lineup as nine of the 10 batters collected at least a hit. Miners 3B Mikey Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI while C Luis Alen picked-up a pair of hits in four at-bats and drove in two runs.

Kevin Grendell tossed two scoreless innings of relief to notch the victory for Sussex County. Grendell allowed a hit and struck out three in the seven batters that he faced. The southpaw is now 2-1 on the season.

For New Jersey, 3B Gerald Bautista led the way at the plate going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
