Newark 3, Rockland 2

3B Alex Bardeguez singled home SS Mike Richard in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Newark Bears to a 3-2 win over the Rockland Boulders. Bardeguez and Richard combined to score all three Newark runs and collected three of the team's five hits. Bears starting pitcher Mike Ness tossed a solid game en route to his fourth win of the season. Ness went eight innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts. 2B Ryan Mollica and DH Keith Brachold each had two hits for Rockland in the loss.

Quebec 3, New Jersey 0

Quebec scored all three of their runs in the first inning and made it hold up behind a solid pitching performance from starter Bryan Rembisz as the Capitales defeated the New Jersey Jackals, 3-0. Rembisz tossed eight shutout innings allowing only three hits and three walks while fanning four batters. He is now 5-1 on the season with the win. Quebec scored their runs with help from three walks and a hit batsman by New Jersey starting pitcher Craig Clark. Capitales leadoff hitter and Player of the Week SS Jeff Helps had two hits in the game.

Worcester 7, Grand Prairie 6

Worcester scored in four of the first five innings of the game and held off a late charge by Grand Prairie to beat the AirHogs, 7-6. The Tornadoes tallied single runs in the first, second and third innings and four runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-2 advantage. Grand Prairie scored four runs in the seventh to cut the lead to one but never got any closer. Worcester CF Jerod Edmondson went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and a RBI while DH Nick Salotti had a two-hit game, including a home run, with three RBI. Tornadoes starting pitcher Phil Negus was the winner as he tossed six innings giving up four earned runs on seven hits.
