Published on June 10, 2012 under Canadian American League (Can-Am) News Release

Rockland 6, Worcester 0

RHP Pat Moran pitched brilliantly for the Boulders in a complete game shutout against the Tornadoes. Moran struck out eight batters and gave up three hits to stifle Worcester's bats. Moran carried a no-hitter into the seventh, only to have it broken up on a two-out single by C Alex Trezza. The shutout was Moran's first on the season and the win was his second. SS Matt Nandin led Rockland offensively. He finished 3-for-4 with a solo home run.

Quebec 6, New Jersey 3

DH Rene Leveret set the tone early for the Capitales in a 6-3 win over the Jackals. Leveret's three-run home run in the first inning gave Quebec an early lead. After the Capitales got three more runs in the following inning, their pitching held tight. New Jersey sprinkled three one-run innings off RHP Bryan Rembisz. The Capitales' starter improved to 3-0 with the win and LHP Dexter Bobo earned his first save of the season in 1.1 innings of work.

Gary SouthShore 5, Newark 4

2B David Cooper had only one hit of the game, but he might have had the biggest impact for the RailCats in their 5-4 win over the Bears. Down 4-1 going into the fifth, the RailCats scrapped across a pair in the fifth and a pair in the sixth to take the lead. In the sixth, Cooper tripled home 3B Brian Kolb to tie the game. Cooper then scored the eventual winning run, when LF Adam Klein finished off a nine-pitch battle with a sacrifice fly. RailCats RHP Kyle Wilson earned the win, throwing seven innings and giving up one earned run. RHP Will Krout got the save.
