Quebec 10, Brockton 1 (Quebec leads series 1-0)
Quebec starting pitcher Bryan Rembisz pitched seven strong innings to help lead the Capitales to a 10-1 victory against the Brockton Rox in Game 1 of the Can-Am League playoff series. Rembisz allowed just one run on two hits while striking out two hitters to earn the win. Offensively, Quebec C Patrick D'Aoust and CF Goefrey Tomlinson each homered in the game. D'Aoust belted a three-run dinger in the eighth inning, and Tomlinson smacked a solo homer in the fifth frame and finished the game with two RBI. Also for Quebec, 1B Rene Leveret doubled and tallied two RBI, and SS Jeff Helps went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Pittsfield at New Jersey (Postponed - Rain)
Game 1 of the Can-Am League playoff series between Pittsfield and New Jersey was postponed due to rain. It has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 8 at 7:05 p.m.
