Rockland 7, Quebec 4
Trailing 4-2 and down to their last out, the Rockland Boulders rallied to score five runs in the top of the ninth to take a 7-4 win against Quebec. Boulders LF Norm Hutchins was hit by a pitch with two outs, and then DH Scott Clement singled. Center fielder Ryde Rodriguez singled in Hutchins to cut Quebec's lead to 4-3. Two batters later, 2B Joe Hage belted a grand slam to cap off the two-out comeback. Rockland reliever Adrian Martin worked a scoreless bottom of the ninth to seal the win for the Boulders and earn the save. Hutchins went 2-for-3 in the game with two runs scored and an RBI, and 3B Ryan Mollica went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Boulders reliever Kent Worthington earned the win by pitching two innings and allowing one run on three hits. For Quebec, 1B Rene Leveret went 3-for-4 with a home run in the loss.
New York 5, New Jersey 3
New York capitalized on a three-run first inning to defeat New Jersey by a score of 5-3. Federals 1B Eddie Lantigua belted a three-run home run in the first inning to give New York an early lead. The home run was Lantigua's eleventh of the season, and the first baseman went 3-for-5 at the plate in the game. Federals CF Jacob Fabry hit an RBI single in the fifth frame, and C Sandy DeLeon added an RBI single in the eighth. New York starter James Kukucka pitched six innings and was credited with the win. Kukucka allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out four. For the Jackals, 2B Argenis Reyes went 3-for-3 with a home run in the loss.
Pittsfield 5, Worcester 4
The Pittsfield Colonials scored three runs in the top of the ninth to defeat the Worcester Tornadoes 5-4. In the ninth, 2B Peter Fatse hit an RBI single, and 1B Chris Torres blasted a two-run home run to give Pittsfield a 5-4 lead. Colonials reliever Chris Rubio worked a 1-2-3 ninth to earn the save and seal the win. Pittsfield starting pitcher David Qualben earned the win by tossing eight innings and allowing three earned runs on seven hits. Pittsfield LF Billy Mottram had a double and an RBI, and C Scott Knazek also batted in a run in the game. Tornadoes 3B Chris Colabello hit two home runs in a losing effort.
