Newark 6, Worcester 2
Bears CF Nick Kyle LaMotta hit a two-run home run on the second at-bat of the game, and Newark never trailed in its 6-2 win against Worcester. Newark starting pitcher Aaron Kalb threw seven innings and allowed two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts, earning his first win of the season. The score was tied heading into the fourth inning, but Newark put together four runs during the fourth and fifth to rocket onto victory. Worcester did all its scoring in the second inning, when the Tornadoes used small ball to push across Nick Salotti and Alex Fernandez. But Kalb and Bears reliever Kyle Morrison shut out Worcester from that point on.
Pittsfield 6, New Jersey 4

The Colonials never trailed and answered nearly every Jackals run with a run (or two) of their own. Pittsfield 1B Angel Molina and LF Billy Mottram each went 2-4 with a run and an RBI. For New Jersey, nine-hole hitter Chris White went 2-4 with a run and two RBI. New Jersey starting pitcher Patrick Moran earned the win, allowing four runs over 5.2 innings.
