Can-Am League Game Recap
July 18, 2012 - Canadian American League (Can-Am) News Release
Quebec 12, Gary SouthShore 9
The Capitales rallied from an early, 7-1 deficit against Gary SouthShore on Wednesday, scoring eight runs in the sixth inning and winning 12-9. A bases-clearing triple in that frame from DH Patrick DAoust - his only hit of the game - broke the game open. The three-bagger turned a narrow, 8-7 lead into a commanding, four-run advantage. DAoust had four RBI on the night, leading all batters.
Two RailCats - RF Mike Massaro and 1B Mike Rohde - homered in the contest, with Massaro tying for the game high in hits with a 3-for-4 night. But the Capitales didn't let Gary SouthShore account for all the long balls. RF Steve Brown hit his first of the year, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
