New Jersey 8, Worcester 4 (Game 2 - 7 innings)
The New Jersey Jackals came up with a five-run fourth inning to take the lead and kept it on the way to beating Worcester 8-4. 1B Francisco Carabello kick started the rally with a solo homerun to start the fourth inning, his second of the year. SS Robert Ramos cleared out the bases four batters later with a triple to score three runs. Ramos scored in the next at bat as 2B Gaetano Giunta bounced out. Ramos finished the day 2-for-3 with two runs. For the Worcester Tornadoes 3B Johnny Welch led the way with three hits in four at bats including a three-run homerun in the first inning. The Jackals put the game away with three runs in the top of the seventh capped off by an RBI single from 3B Nick Giarraputo. P Isaac Pavlik earned the win for the Jackals for 5.0 innings of work giving up eight hits, four runs and striking out seven.
