Worcester 9, Newark 3
A three-run home run by Worcester 1B Nick Salotti all but put the Bears away as early as the third inning. The home run made it 6-1, and the Tornadoes tacked on three more runs in the seventh to win, 9-3. Salotti led Worcester in RBI with three, as part of a 2-for-4 day. LF Brendon Kelliher also had a solid day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run scored. LHP Zach Zuercher struck out seven batters over seven innings to get his first win of the year.
