Can-Am League Early Recap
August 11, 2010 - Canadian American League (Can-Am) News Release
Quebec 8, New Jersey 2
A well-pitched game quickly became a rout when Quebec pushed five insurance runs across in the top of the ninth, highlighted by CF Sebastien Boucher's two-run triple, to beat New Jersey 8-2. SS Ivan Naccarata and 2B Josh Colafemina each had four-hit games for the Capitales from the top two spots in the order, scoring two and three times respectively. Starting pitcher Michel Simard gave up two earned runs over 6.2 innings pitched, and closer Andrew Albers notched his 12th save with two scoreless frames. LHP Ryan Lobban's quality start for the Jackals was wasted in the loss, and 3B Abraham Nunez reached base in his 29th consecutive game for New Jersey on an eighth-inning single.
