Pittsfield 3B Johnny Welch hit a game winning solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Colonials past the New Jersey Jackals 4-3. Welch finished the game 1-for-4 with two RBIs while CF Quentin Davis chipped in with two hits. Pittsfield reliever Matt Lyons collected the win despite allowing a game-tying home run to Jackals RF Jeremy Slayden in the top of the ninth. With the win, Pittsfield takes two of three in the series.
