Worcester LF Francisco Caraballo had a big game at the plate to lead the Tornadoes to victory on the road, improving their mark to 25-19 in the second half. Caraballo was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Tornadoes 1B Chris Colabello also had a nice game. He was 3-for-5 with a double, his 33rd, a new league record. He also scored a run and drove in a pair. Tornadoes RF Scott Grimes was 2-for-5 with three runs scored, giving him 85 on the season, also a league record. Worcester starting pitcher Shaun McNamara allowed five unearned runs, all in the third inning, on seven hits in seven innings to pick up his third win of the season. Tornadoes reliever Eddie Pena finished off the Rapidz in the ninth inning to record his ninth save.

Sussex 5, Atlantic City 3

The Sussex Skyhawks got a solid outing from starting pitcher Craig Snipp to beat Atlantic City 5-3 and take over sole possession of first place in the second half standings. Snipp allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out three in seven innings of work to improve to 8-5 on the season. Skyhawks closer Matt Petrusek tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his 23rd save. Sussex LF Alex Frazier led the way at the plate. He was 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Surf SS Anthony Granato was also 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI to lead Atlantic City in defeat.

Nashua 8, Quebec 5 (12 innings)
@ Quebec City, QC. Time: 3:44 Attendance: 3,942

It took 12 innings to decide the outcome, but when it was all said and done, the Nashua Pride used a three-run 12th inning to put away Quebec. The Pride out-hit the Capitales 15-12 and Nashua CF Ervin Alcantara led the way. Alcantara was 3-for-6 with a home run, three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Pride C Mike Torres also had three hits in the game, finishing 3-for-5. Quebec 1B Eddie Lantigua led the way for Quebec. He was 2-for-6 with three RBI in defeat.

New Jersey 2, Brockton 2 (Suspended - Bottom 12)

The game between New Jersey and Brockton was suspended due to curfew with the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 12th inning. The game will resume tomorrow beginning at 6:05 PM and be followed by the regularly scheduled game.
