Nashua withstood a ninth inning rally and held on to top New Jersey 7-6.
The Pride used two doubles and a single to grab an early 2-0 lead in the second inning and then scored four runs on two hits and two Jackals errors in the fourth to lead it 6-2. With Nashua leading 7-3 in the ninth inning, things got interesting. Facing Pride reliever Adam Piechowski, New Jersey got an RBI single from DH Luke Allen and a two-run home run from C Matt Lauderdale to draw within a run. But Piechowski settled down and got the final two outs to end it.
