
Campbell Returned to Grand Rapids by Detroit

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings have released forward Colin Campbell from his professional tryout, returning him to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Campbell, entering his third full season with Grand Rapids, joins 20 other players who today commenced Griffins training camp at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Grand Rapids will conclude camp with its lone preseason contest this Friday, Oct. 7, when the Griffins take on the Chicago Wolves at 8 p.m. EDT at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
The Griffins will open the 2016-17 campaign at home against Chicago on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Chicago and battling the Wolves on Oct. 15.
