New Orleans Brass News Release
In an attempt to continue playing in New Orleans, the New Orleans Brass is now attempting to secure commitments for season tickets for the 2002-2003 season.
According to a letter to season ticketholders from Brass Vice President/General Manager Dan Belisle, the team needs to secure at least 2,000 season-ticket commitments by June 1 in order to for the 2002-2003 season to be economically viable.
The letter from Belisle states, "the most likely venue for the Brass to continue play in is Municipal Auditorium. Of course, there are several hurdles for the Brass to cross in order to facilitate a move into the Auditorium. One of these hurdles is our season ticket base." The letter includes a Season Ticket Commitment form, which allows fans to choose potential seat locations and how many season tickets they are willing to purchase. This form, along with Belisle's letter, is available at the official web site of the Brass, www.brasshockey.com. The form can also be obtained from the Brass office by calling (504) 522-7825.
New Orleans Brass Professional Hockey has attracted more than 850,000 fans since 1997. On the ice, Brass teams have posted winning seasons and qualified for the Kelly Cup Playoffs in all five seasons of the franchise's existence.
